Brad has been a Financial Advisor for over 18 years. He joined Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) as an independent financial advisor in February of 2006, and most recently was honored as being ranked by Forbes as a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor**. 

He was awarded membership in the Executive Council* in each year from 2009 through 2014 and awarded membership in the Leaders Council* in each year from 2015 through 2019. He was invited to attend the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting in 2006 and 2007.  He completed levels I and II of advanced investment training, passed a comprehensive examination and earned the designation of Investment Management Consultant. He has attended due diligence meetings with a number of investment firms including Lord Abbett Investments, DWS Scudder, Hartford Financial, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Lincoln Financial, American Century Funds and Russell Investment Group. In 2008, Brad obtained his registered principal license and opened an independent branch of RJFS.  In 2010, Brad was awarded the designation of Certified Investment Management AnalystTM from IMCA and the Wharton School of Business at Pennsylvania University and in 2018, Brad obtained his Accredited Investment Fiduciary TM designation through Fi360.

Making up less than 1% of all Raymond James advisors, Brad is a member of the Raymond James Retirement Plan Advisory Council (RPAC).  RPAC is a select group of financial advisors who are dedicated to offering the guidance plan sponsors need to carry out and oversee their mission and establish and uphold a standard of care for serving institutional and retirement plans. Based nationwide, this dedicated group of advisors has made institutional and retirement plan consulting clients its primary focus and continually develops and adheres to best practices and well-established fiduciary standards that their clients can rely on.  Membership in RPAC is by invitation from the Raymond James Institutional Fiduciary Solutions Group and qualifications are based on size and scope of relevant clients and assets as well as industry credentials and compliance records.

Brad is also a member of the Raymond James Discretionary Advisor Program (DAP) which is reserved for Advisors who demonstrate certain standards of care and prudent process as part of their commitment to their client by using discretion as a core business practice.  Criteria for approval includes Regulatory Registration and Review, Investment Strategy, Industry Experience, Investment Management Training and/ or Professional Designations, Required Firm Training and size and scope of relevant clients and assets.

Through the Institute for Investment Management Consulting (IIMC), Brad is a member of the Portfolio Management Group (PMG).  PMG is an exclusive organization established in 2010 through the IIMC which recognizes advisors who are extraordinarily committed to portfolio development as a significant part of their practice.

Prior to joining RJFS, Brad was employed by Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor. During his five years of employment with Morgan Stanley, Brad obtained all the necessary licenses to operate as a financial advisor, earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification as well as the Estate Planning Consultant designation offered through The American College. Before leaving, he was also honored as one of the top 500 Advisors in the firm.

Before starting a career in financial services, Brad served as Administrator of Distribution Services in Greenville, North Carolina for what is today Cardinal Healthcare and was responsible for coordinating the logistics of medical supply delivery to the 16 hospitals and surgery centers in Eastern North Carolina. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in financial services and corporate finance. He is an active member of Phi Sigma Pi, National Honor Fraternity, and First Baptist Church, Wilmington, North Carolina. He currently serves as the chair of the Unlock Hope committee for The Harrelson Center and is on the Board of Trustees for Coastal Horizons Center.

Brad and his wife Cindy have lived in the Wilmington, North Carolina, area since 2001 with their four wonderful kids, Bailey, Cole, Dalton, and Gavin.
